We went through a similar experience 6 weeks ago. My entire family caught it, and it was pretty bad. We're finally feeling normal again.

This variant is extremely contagious. Unfortunately, while our previous vaccines and boosters (and distancing and masks) helped us avoid the original virus and Omicron for over 2 1/2 years, the BA.5 variant can dodge it.

We're looking forward to an updated booster. But, until then, we're practicing safe distancing and mostly staying home. Luckily, I've been running a remote business for several years, which makes it easier.
