Totally agree. People overestimate the impact of tools and process.
I’m seeing this with the current crop of tools that make creating websites as easy as drag and drop. Again, people are saying; “You no longer need to hire a designer. Everyone can make a great website!”
So now you see cookie cutter websites that look superficially pretty on the surface, but make no sense and lack basic usability.
Being an entrepreneur goes much deeper than pulling together all of the tools and systems necessary to form and run a business. You won’t find a tool that helps you create a vision, motivate a team, inspire your customers, give you unshakeable confidence, or make you comfortable with taking big risks.
But I do believe that great mentoring and guidance can show someone who has a true entrepreneurial spirit how to bring it to life.
