This is what is desperately needed. It’s why the two coasts are more open and accepting than the insulated middle.

I say this as someone who was raised in the very middle of the country. I didn’t really experience any meaningful diversity until college. I finally experienced an amazing amount of diversity when I moved to the Bay Area of California.

Working side by side with people from all over the world opens your mind and your heart. Traveling and living around the world takes it to a whole new level. You truly start to understand that we are all the same.

We all want to feel safe and secure.

We all want happiness and success.

We all want to love and be loved.

We love our families, and we dream of health and happiness for our children.

When you share your daily life with people from all walks of life and origins, the familiarity does change everything. We need to experience each other more, not less. This is what will dissolve the hate.
