Thanks for the detailed advice! Now I feel less concerned about the time I’m taking to do research before I write.

It does help me understand the full context of the topic, and write a bit more intelligently without the illusion that I’m the first one inventing the wheel.

I also do find that my habits protect my creative consistency. Otherwise, the urgent is always overwhelming the important.

You’ve also confirmed my personal discovery that walks in the forest recharge my creative energy and result in my best “aha” moments of resolving something that I’ve been twisting and turning in my mind.

It took me many years to recognize this and not feel guilty about taking an hour or two every weekend to do it. I now see those walks or trail runs as an investment that helps me be more productive and prolific later.
