I agree. I’ve almost completely stopped adding my content to other publications. My experience today put the final nail in the coffin.

The publications do nothing to promote my work. In fact, I’ve found that my own publication performs better than theirs even though they supposedly have more subscribers.

Unless it’s one of the big Medium-sponsored pubs, it’s a waste of time.
