Don't worry, it's not part of my identity. I've had new friends who knew me for years before they found out — on their own — that I have a Ph.D.

But, I'm guessing you don't run your own business or do any marketing?

I've found that the degree does help me to some degree (pun intended) with my career coaching and consulting. That's all.

It was a huge investment of years and effort to get it, I am proud of my accomplishments, and it does help me somewhat with my business.
