Absolutely! I get to spend more time with the people who are always there for me.

I no longer spend time with people who stopped giving me the time of day when I stopped being a VP. Funny how that works?!

I’ve found that I can reduce the work-at-home loneliness by:
• Videoconferencing with my clients and colleagues
• Forcing myself to work in a coffee shop once a week
• Making friends in my community completely outside of my work life

In the past, I relied too much on “work friendships.” Now, I have a more diverse group of friends. Maybe 1% of them work in my industry. It’s refreshing!
